A gentler way to wash your face.
If your face has ever felt tight and squeaky after cleansing, you already know the feeling we set out to avoid. Oil cleansing is one of the simplest changes you can make to your routine, and one of the most noticeable. Here is why it works and how to do it well.
Like dissolves like
Makeup, long-wear sunscreen, and the oil your skin makes during the day are largely oil-based. Plant oils dissolve them gently, so they lift away with a warm cloth instead of being scrubbed off. Less rubbing, less tugging, and a cleanse that feels like care.

Why many cleansers can leave skin feeling tight
Foaming cleansers rely on surfactants to lift dirt. Research on cleansing shows that some surfactants can also remove the skin's own lipids, which is why mild cleansing matters for the way your skin feels afterward. An oil cleanser takes a different approach: it lifts the day away while leaving skin feeling soft and comfortable.
Will an oil cleanser make my skin oily?
Not when it is formulated for your skin. A well-made cleansing oil rinses clean with a warm, damp cloth. For oily or blemish-prone skin, we made a lighter, clarifying formula with tea tree and bergamot. Patch test first, as with any new product.
Find your cleanser
- Renewal Bloom Cleansing Oil, for dry or mature skin. Rose, chamomile, and calendula-infused jojoba with camellia, squalane, rosehip, and prickly pear.
- Blue Calm Cleansing Oil, for sensitive skin. Chamomile-infused jojoba with squalane, lavender, and Roman chamomile.
- Clear Balance Cleansing Oil, for oily, combination, or blemish-prone skin. Calendula-infused jojoba with tea tree and bergamot.
The routine
- Apply 2 to 4 pumps to dry hands.
- Massage onto a dry face for 30 to 60 seconds, letting the oil melt makeup and sunscreen.
- Wet a soft washcloth with warm water and wring it out.
- Gently wipe the oil away. Repeat if needed, pat dry, and follow with your elixir and balm.
Try it for 60 days. If you don't love it, our money-back guarantee covers you, even if the bottle is empty.
